How to Find PeopleFinding someone's contact information often quick and easy when a person has listed number in a phone directory. However, if a person does not want to be found it will take some time and money to trace him or her. SearchBug offers three categories of people search tools (explained below) to help you with your research.
Free People Search
Usage: It's FREE, so it should always be your first step. If record is found, it is the current (as of publishing date) contact information. Limitations: 20-50% of people, depending on state, have unlisted (unpublished) phone numbers. Some people only list their name and number, but no address, while others use only a first initial or a fictitious name. A listing may not be found, if the number is under spouse's name. People who use cell phones as their primary phone (5-10%) instead of wired phone are not listed. If a person has recently moved, we may not have the new data yet. Usage: Use this affordable service to find unpublished contact information. Since this database contains historical records, you may also be able to use the old address and phone number or maiden name to trace the person. Order Background Check to get current and up to 20 years of past information for addresses and phone numbers, real property ownership, aliases, maiden names, possible relatives, and other useful information. Limitations: The database does not contain any Non-Public information protected from disclosure by law such as SSNs, medical records, employment records, tax returns, and personal financial records. Usage: Use it if you know SSN of the person or Public Records searches did not give you the answer. Use it when you need guaranteed and personally verified current address search, not just last reported address. Limitations: This is not an instant search. Typical turnaround time is 2-5 days. Complicated requests may take up 20 working days.
